Why I Got Started
Been a fan of various hobbies, some for as far as I can remember, and some I found later in life but treasure just as much. I got a 3d printer a while back to make some cool little critters I saw someone make and print themselves on twitter. They weren’t selling the actual object but were distributing the file to do so. I made an impulse buy for a 3D printer because it was something that vaguely interested me and the item pushed me into the “I really need one” point. This decision ended up being a great one as it lead me into learning an engineering CAD software to make my own.
With this software I originally started making my own add on to toys, a little missile pod, a poor attempt at a simple blaster, a sword. Then I got more and more into it after making an adapter to turn a dice box into a card deck box but didn’t really have the drive just yet to do more than a couple things for local people I knew at my game store.
A show I am a fan of had many people already realized that you can make your own fan made character for the series inspired me to make a prop replica of the item and thus I got a caliper and drafted a core id prop from scratch.
I originally was only focused on doing this item but as I went in I realized the larger buckles I always displayed on their side fell over easily could use a stand as well as a desire to wall mount the armed buckles and other items on my wall since my roommates and I have named my room “The Armory” was reinforcing the idea to make a business to sell these items and many more to help people with their items in a way not yet offered.
Thus, after a long time dwelling on a name, Kabuki Forge was started
